My Return

So I am back from a very long hiatus.  I had to step away from a lot of things due to work, family issues, and a very hectic life in general.  Gaming pretty much disappeared from my life for about three months and since that’s what this blog pertains to, kinda didn’t have much to write about.

That has all changed, my life is getting back on track, so I have slowly begun to game again.  This is going to be a short post just explaining what I plan to do with gaming and this blog.  I will still be playing Call of Duty and other shooters and maybe attempting a run at competitive again starting this Winter, but a big focus for me is to start raising my Gamer Score on Xbox Live.

Since I am mainly an online shooter player, my score has been lacking.  I have a lot of games but never play them for achievements so my score after 5-6 years on Xbox is a measly 19,191 as of 7 am this morning.  I’m looking to change that and change it rapidly.  I will be devoting several hours a week to just completing achievements in games that I don’t usually play, and will be sharing what I have completed each day with you all.

At the end of every day, I will post a Cobra Log.  This log will essentially tell you what I have accomplished that day in gaming.  Could be achievements earned, friends made, or just some basic stats from whatever shooter I happen to play that day.

Let me know what you think in the comments below, and what games you think I should play to get some new achievements.


It’s been a long time since I lasted posted something, and for that, I must apologize.  My life has been hectic and in constant motion for the last few months, so I am trying to get back into the swing of things.  So now I guess it’s time for me to fill you in on some of the changes.

#1.  I have officially moved up to Illinois.

I moved to Illinois back in April, and I have loved every minute of it.  I’m currently staying with my Grandparents, but my wife and I are in the process of finding out own place.  I’m hoping we can find a good fit before our baby comes in September.

#2.  Job Changes

So since moving to Illinois, I have had two jobs.  My first job was with my grandfather, doing tree removal.  This was a good full-time job for when I first moved here.  It was hard work, but well worth it, and it was very steady work.  I plan to keep doing this on a part-time basis.

I just started my second job up here which is at the Chrysler plant.  It is with a security company, but I will be a Fire Marshal and not a guard, and so far I think I’m going to like it.

#3.  Family Changes

The plan when I first moved up here, was for my family to move up the beginning of next year after my daughter is born.  That plan then changed to my family moving up in November, after my wife and daughter are well enough to travel.  Well after my family came up to visit, they have all decided that they want to stay here, which is why I am now frantically searching for a house to fit our needs.  All in all, I am happy with the way this situation is going.

So those are currently the three big things going on in my life.  Again, I’m sorry for such a long absence and look forward to getting heavily back into my writing.  As always comments are appreciated, as well as any new follows and likes.

Life Change #2

In addition to working out consistently, I have also started eating better (besides my journey to Tennessee).  The best part though is we have the entire family eating better, which makes it easier on me since I don’t have to eat healthy while everyone else is still eating crap.  Now to specify, we are eating better, but by no means are we on a diet or anything.  Getting the entire family to change the way we eat was made simpler because April is pregnant and needs to be taking enough nutrients for her and the baby.

I have to say the biggest step towards eating healthier is staying away from fast food.  I have to admit, we used to eat out a lot, and that is one of the worst things you can do to your body.  Another thing is we stopped buying packs of soda.  I still drink a cup of coffee everyday to get my caffeine (to avoid my migraines), but soda has once again been cut from my “diet”.  My main drink of choice now is water, and most surprising is its plain water, where before I had to dump a container of MIO into the bottle for me to drink it.

Our last couple of family meals were as follows

Dinner: Chicken Salad with little tomatoes
chibata bread

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs
Mixed Berries

Dinner: Steak
Mashed Potatoes
Garlic Bread

Now again, still might not be the healthiest stuff, and I am by no means measuring servings or counting macros, but I feel its a good start.  Thank you for reading and look for more posts tomorrow.  Tomorrow we will talk about Pull-ups…
